[Men's Golf] Alemany finishes second as Men's Golf Falcons come in third at Midwest Spring …

Manhattan, Kan. — Friends University sophomore Gerardo Alemany, the current KCAC Men's Golfer of the Week, produced another strong outing and finished as the runner-up individually to help the Falcons wind up third overall at the Midwest Spring National Invite in Manhattan, Kan.Alemany (72-74-146) led the way for the Falcons, with Trinton Nobles (71-78-149) finishing eighth overall followed by Louis Louchet (71-79-150) who tied for 9th.Trenton Sutherland (75-77-152) finished tied for 16th, while Harrison Middleton (79-81-160) came in tied for 46th. Sander Fjell (T-19th, 74-79-153) and Braulio Graino (T-49th, 80-81-161) also competed as individuals for Friends. The Falcons will now gear up to compete at the KCAC Conference Championship on April 17th-19th at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kan.Friends University Director of Golf and men's golf head coach Dustin Galyon on the Falcons' performance: "This was another big step forward for our group! Our first round of competition was a really strong performance and I thought we got off to a slow start but battled back on the final nine of day two. Overall, it was a great experience, a great course, and a great tournament. Gerardo played two fantastic rounds and being solo second at that caliber of an event was fantastic. Gerardo continues to grow and develop his mental toughness and confidence. It is an awesome thing to see!! Trinton and Louis being in the top 10 was also a great step forward. Both guys were a bit unlucky in the second round but did a nice job of recovering and staying focused."
