[Men's Golf] Bennett Stays Hot; SXU Men's Golf Places 4th at CCAC Fall Preview

Wilmington, Ill. – Senior Marty Bennett (Evergreen Park, Ill./Moraine Valley/Brother Rice) continued his steady play, finishing in a tied for fourth place with his second-best round as a Cougar, turning in a card of 77 (+5) for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team at the CCAC Fall Preview hosted by Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) at Cinder Ridge Country Club in Wilmington, Ill. It is also the best finish for Bennett since transferring to SXU prior to the 2021-22 season. As a team, Saint Xavier placed fourth out of five teams with a score of 341 (+62) behind winner ONU, who had a team score of 308 (+20). Alvaro Pardo Gutierrez from Roosevelt University (Ill.) won the individual portion of the event with a score of 75 (+3), one shot better than the runners-up.
