[Men's Golf] Men's Golf Falcons finish 12th at Oakwood Intercollegiate

Enid, Okla. — The Friends University Falcons competed in the Oakwood Intercollegiate tournament this week in Enid, Okla, won by Hutchinson Community College with a score of 312-289-601. The Falcons finished 12th as a team (327-304-631), led by Trinton Nobles (79-75-154) in a tie for 26th place overall. Trenton Sutherland (83-73-156) finished tied for 30th and Sander Fjell (81-78-159) came in tied for 45th. The Men's Golf Falcons will next play at the Prairie Dunes National Collegiate on Apr. 3 in Hutchinson, Kan. "Our tournament was played in incredibly difficult conditions," said Dustin Galyon, Friends University Director of Golf and men's golf head coach. "The wind and cold made it challenging both days. Overall, I thought our focus and mental toughness were really solid. I don't think the scores represent how we played the first day. The second day we played some good golf but will need to finish better moving forward. Our group was together this week and that is going to be the key for us down the stretch!!""Trinton did a great job of competing this week. He took a major step forward with his mental game and mental toughness. Trent had a very good second day and continues to be mentally strong. We're looking forward to Prairie Dunes coming up!!!"
