[Men's Golf] Sutherland Claims KCAC Men's Golfer of the Week

WICHITA, Kan. – The restarted Friends University men's golf program continues to make a convincing statement in their return to campus this season, as freshman Trenton Sutherland has been named the KCAC Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced today (Oct. 18).Sutherland powered the Falcons to their second team title of the season at the Tabor College Invitational while also coming out on top individually for the second time.The Arkansas City, Kan. native bested 85 other golfers with a two-day total of 73-70-143 at the Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan."Trent is such a talented player!" said Dustin Galyon, Friends University men's golf head coach and Director of Golf. "His short game is outstanding and he is mentally tough. He is a joy to coach and a great leader for our program!"   The Falcons are next scheduled to be in action at the Wildcat Match Play today (Oct. 18) at the Prairie Highlands Golf Course in Olathe, Kan.
