[Women's Golf] The Bluejay Women golfers play short handed this week

McPherson, Kan. The Bluejay Women start the season without 3 of their players and travelled to McPherson to play Turkey Creek golf Course. Lauryn Paredez and Gracie Trogdon were the two individuals for Tabor. Monday was day 1 of the tournament which was Gracie Trogdon's first collegiate tournament experience. "Gracie struggled with her swing, but managed to roll a lot of good putts" said coach Jamieson. The second round for Gracie was more of the same but the Freshman stayed in it and finished her first college tournament 10 strokes better in the second round. Lauryn Paredez has been with the team since last year and came in with half of a golf season under her belt. "I can see the difference in Lauryn this year when it comes to her overall gameplay" said coach Jamieson. "She is more confident, and competitive than ever, and I like it!!." Round 1 Lauryn played well for the most part and even had a birdie on her 10th hole of the day. A few holes got the best of her in round 1 to shoot a 101. Round 2 was a different story with not as many high numbers. Despite Lauryn missing her shot right during the middle of her round, she managed to get it under control and finish with a 96. The Women will return to Turkey Creek next week and play in the Central Christian Invite September 28 and 29.
