[Women's Golf] The Bluejay Women's Golf team starts the Spring season

Nixa, MO.- The Tabor College Women's Golf team started the season at Fremont Country Club in Nixa, Missouri March 8th and 9th.  With strong winds and the course playing very long "it was a big challenge to start the year" said coach Jamieson.  Overall the team did not play well, however, Valdisa Andov (FR/Pekanbaru, Indonesia) tied for 4th place out of 32 players in the field.            Coach Jamieson had this to say about Valdisa finishing in 4th place.  "It was the first tournament of the year and Valdisa was struggling with her drives, irons, chips and putting which usually means not a top 5 finish. However, Valdisa never gave up and she stayed positive, always moving forward and trying to play the best she could, i'm proud of her." Also playing for the Bluejays were Lauryn Paredez (FR/Cutler, Calif.), Tara Sheets (FR/Azle, Texas), Megan Brock (FR/Poolville, Texas) and Gracie Trogdon (FR/Lawton, Okla.). WHATS NEXT- The Bluejays look to bounceback when they start the first of two legs of the conference championship on March 22 and 23.
