[Women's Golf] VALDISA ANDOV GETS FIRST TEAM ALL CONFERENCE AS THE BLUEJAYS END THEIR SEASON

Garden City, Kan. – The Bluejays finish the final leg of the conference championship at Buffalo Dunes in Garden City.  The first leg was played late March with Kansas Wesleyan in the lead, and didn't change after the final tournament with KWU winning the KCAC Championship.  The Bluejays started the final leg in 8th out of 9 teams and finished 8th out of 9 teams as the Women Bluejays finished their first full season since they restarted. Leading the way for the Bluejays was Valdisa Andov (FR/Pekanbaru, Indonesia) who started the Final Leg in 10th place.  Valdisa played well shooting a 78, 83. While not good enough to win the conference championship, Vladisa still managed to move up to 4th place to earn First Team All-Conference honors.    Disa played well the first round with one birdie and one double and a lot of pars. The round was highlighted by hitting the par 5, 7th hole, which was her 16th of the day, nearly making a 30 foot eagle putt and taping in for birdie. Round two for Valdisa was more of an up and down round. After a poor start Disa levelled out with sprinkling in three birdies on the day.  She was heading to another 78 before the final three holes dropped her to an 83.  "I know Valdisa really wanted to finish first in conference" said coach Jamieson. "However, First team All-Conference was a good finish considering this was her first conference tournament and first Spring golf she has played in the U.S.".     Lauryn Paredez (FR/Cutler, Calif.) (99,100) also played well for the Bluejays.  "Lauryn really impressed me on hole 13 where she hit her first tee shot OB and then continuing to eagle her second ball for in my eyes was the best par of the tournament " said coach Jamieson. Also having their best tournament of the year was Tara Sheets (FR/Azle, Texas)(101,104), Megan Brock (FR/Poolville, Texas)(124,117) and Gracie Trogdon (FR/Lawton, Okla.)(101,105).  WHATS NEXT- This was the final leg of the KCAC Conference Tournament and marks the end for all teams who did not win the tournament.  The Bluejays will look to keep building next year for their second full season since they restarted the program.
