OKLAHOMA CITY – The Friends University Women's Golf Falcons shot a school record (337-331-668) and came in 12th at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic that wrapped up today (Apr. 13) at Lincoln Park Golf Club in Oklahoma City.Oklahoma City University bested the competitive field with a team score of 300-299-599 to finish just one stroke ahead of second place Redlands Community College.Fueling the Falcons' record pace was Maddy Hart (SR/El Dorado, Kan.), who put together an individual school record total (77-78-155) to finish tied for 22nd overall.Next for the Falcons was Kaela Ruggles (JR/Lockhart, Texas) with a score of 82-84-166 that was tied for 59th.Mackenzie Adkins (SO/Nixa, Mo. ) (89-84-173) was tied for 78th, followed closely by Deane Reaves (JR/Rio Rancho, N.M.) (89-85-174) tied for 81st.Kennedy Birk (FR/Lawrence, Kan. ) rounded out the Falcons tied for 84th overall (89-87-176).The Falcons will now gear up for the KCAC Championships, set for Apr. 22-24 at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kan. Friends finished fourth in the first leg of the KCAC championships back on Mar. 21.
