[Women's Golf] Women's Golf Falcons Notch Fourth Place Showing at KCAC Tournament

Garden City, Kan. – The Friends University Women's Golf Falcons concluded the second leg of the KCAC Tournament and finished with a fourth-place result at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kan.The Falcons recorded a team score of 340-349-689, just six strokes behind third-place York College and seven shots from second-place Bethany College.Kansas Wesleyan University won the conference championship with a score of 324-318-642.Kaela Ruggles paced the Falcon showing by coming in tied for fifth-place overall (79-83-162) to earn a spot on the KCAC All-Tournament team for the second leg at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course along with a second team all-conference honor.Maddy Hart (86-88-174) was next in the 20th spot, followed by Kennedy Birk (91-85-186), who was tied for 21st.Mackenzie Adkins (85-94-179) came in 26th, while Deane Reaves (90-93-183) wound up 31st overall."The team has come so far this year with personal bests, school team record (668), school individual record (Maddy Hart 77-78=155) and all-tournament team individual (Kaela Ruggles)," said Friends women's golf head coach Paul Howe. "This is the highest finish for the women at the conference championship."Also, Sumer Hahn received the Champion of Character award for the Falcons.  "She was selected for her coachability, work ethic, commitment to church and family, being an incredible teammate, and her character," Howe said.For complete results of the KCAC tournament, click HERE.
