[Women's Golf] Sanders, Cramer help Bees finish third at Klocke Classic

Maitlyn Sanders posted her second top-five finish in three events by placing third at the Klocke Family Classic at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion, Iowa.Sanders, who has finished in the top 10 in all three tournaments this fall, had weekend rounds of 81 and 83 for a 164 total. She finished just a single shot behind a two-way tie for first.Sam Cramer also cracked the top 10, tying for ninth overall. She started strong with an 83 Saturday before slipping back with a closing 92 Sunday for her 175.Amara Lytle was just a shot behind her teammate, firing rounds of 90 and 86 for a 176. Katherine Speer carded a first-round 85 before settling for a 94 for a 179, and Kara Williams shot a 187 (98-89).St. Ambrose finished third in the seven-team event. The Bees were two shots out of the lead after starting with a 339 Saturday, but they were unable to make a move Sunday, firing a 350 for a 689 total.Host Mount Mercy won the event with a 682 (338-344) while Jamestown took second with a 683 (337-346).Mount Mercy's Breanna Felderman (83-80) and Jamestown's Izzy Marchino (80-83) each shot a 163 to tie for medalist honors.
